| | My curiousity is fired about iriminage tenkan. It has been some time since we have worked on this, and the part I find intruiging is kuzushi (taking of balance). From what I have seen the manner and method of doing this, when done correctly, makes the technique almost effortless. I'm really eager to explore this more. I'd love to hear from others who have found helpful keys behind making iriminage tenkan work smoothly. |

| As I said before a certain time in class on Friday, "Tristan is going to be be ticked that he missed this." We did iriminage from an attack friday, but we can always find it again, easily enough. You're correct, if done properly, taking uke's balance is a cinch here, but you could probably guess, it is very important to first be in the right spot (tai sabaki).
