Mark found this great video segment, and it's worth seeing aikido principles applied:

There are links on this page to other clips from the movie "Morihei Ueshiba and Aikido - Rendez-Vous With Adventure".

"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

... nada ... Tristan, what kind of video are you trying to show us?

Well, that sucks. The film which contains the segment of Tohei is still on YouTube, in three parts:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNOTyUuoomE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1mC6XDXL5Y
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vod1dsj7Ok

I can't imagine anyone making a fuss about usage, the video is about sixty years old.

The segment with Tohei and the wrestler is in the second part, about six and a half minutes in. The whole thing is interesting to watch.

I found it interesting where O'Sensei's index finger is when he is wielding a bokken. This is something we are specifically told not to do.

It is interesting to see how the form has evolved over the years, I see that a lot in these older videos (see video 2 @ 5:07).

I'm sure with the one where O'Sensei's index finger is on the bokken is a good example of how things have changed over the years.
